The Simpsons Movie

December 20th, 2007 Posted in Movies

I have to say I skipped The Simpsons Movie in the theaters because I thought I would be disappointed. Turns out I was right. What a flop! I am a big Simpsons fan from back in the day. I would get home from school and watch Simpsons and Seinfeld almost every day, but this movie was something else. It was so off the wall that I have to call it the PG-13 South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut; it was that bad with that little of a plot. I was expecting a little bit of a plot, but it was like 4-5 episodes combined to make a movie. It is sad to say, but it has to be said. They didn’t do a good job with the movie so I hope they recouped their failure in all the advertising they did. There was so much advertising for The Simpsons Movie that I thought it was Super Bowl time. If they try this again, hopefully it goes better next time. I love the Simpsons on TV, but somethings just need to stay where they are.

If you are a Simpsons fan, I apologize if you liked the movie. If you have not seen it and are curious, still check it out as you should develop your own opinion. Have a good one and go see Dan in Real Life if you want a movie with a plot. Saw this with my fiance in Kearney at the new Kearney Cinema 8. It was good and the new theater is beautiful. Peace out and happy holidays. Hope you have a white Christmas.
